The benefits Noble Desktop accepts

Our approved programs are open to veterans, service members, and eligible dependents using any of the three chapters below. VA decides who is eligible and what each benefit pays. Our School Certifying Official handles the certification with VA once you enroll.

Chapter 33, Post-9/11 GI Bill®

The most common one. VA can pay tuition and fees plus a monthly housing allowance. Because class meets in person rather than online, VA treats it differently when setting that allowance; VA decides the amount, so ask them about your own.

Chapter 31, Veteran Readiness and Employment

For a service-connected disability and an employment barrier. Your VR&E counselor authorizes the training and we bill VA directly, so start with your counselor.

Chapter 35, Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance

For eligible spouses and children. It pays a set monthly amount rather than tuition, so it will not necessarily cover a full program on its own.

How enrollment works

Four steps. Our School Certifying Official does the VA-facing part, and nothing commits you until step three.

Pick a program and date

Choose from the approved programs above, pick a start date, and submit the short form. Upload your Certificate of Eligibility and any past transcripts if you have them, or send them later.

STEP 2

We confirm the details

One of our School Certifying Officials will be in touch to answer your questions and collect anything else we need before you commit.

STEP 3

You enroll, we certify

Once you decide, we register you and submit your enrollment certification to VA. VA pays according to your entitlement and rate of pursuit.

STEP 4

Start class in NYC

Small in-person classes at 185 Madison Avenue with an instructor in the room, and a free retake of any class within one year.

Straight answers on the money

The numbers people ask about most, stated the way VA states them. These are VA-published rates and rules, not Noble promises, and VA can change them.

Monthly housing allowance

For Chapter 33, VA sets a monthly housing allowance using the school's ZIP code, your entitlement percentage and your rate of pursuit. Check your own rate with VA, or look up Noble Desktop in the GI Bill Comparison Tool.

Housing if you study part-time

A rate of pursuit above 50% is required before VA pays any housing allowance at all, and it is prorated from there. At or below half-time it is zero. VA determines your rate of pursuit.

If your entitlement is partial

Veterans at 90% or less, and most Chapter 35 and Chapter 30 students, will have a balance after VA pays. One of our School Certifying Officials will go through the remainder with you before you enroll. On programs at $2,995 and up there are interest-free payment plans with no fees: pay-as-you-go installments, or Climb Credit.

Two programs at once

You can complete programs one after another, but VA will not certify overlapping enrollments. We will sequence them with you.

VET TEC

Noble Desktop is not a VET TEC provider and does not accept VET TEC.

Questions veterans ask

Are these programs really approved for VA education benefits?

Yes. Noble Desktop's approved programs are listed with VA under facility code 25112332. Look up Noble Desktop in the VA GI Bill Comparison Tool to see the approved program list. Approval means the programs met the standards of the State Approving Agency and VA. It is not an endorsement or recommendation of Noble Desktop by either one.

Do I have to attend in person?

To use VA benefits at Noble Desktop, yes: our approved programs meet in person at 185 Madison Avenue in Manhattan. If you want a fully online option, our partner school VDCI holds its own VA approval for online programs; see veterans.vdci.edu.

Will my benefits cover the whole cost?

It depends on your benefit chapter, your entitlement percentage, and how much entitlement you have left. Chapter 33 at 100% typically covers tuition and fees for an approved program. Chapter 35 and Chapter 30 pay a fixed monthly amount and often will not cover a full program by themselves. One of our School Certifying Officials will go through the expected balance with you before you enroll rather than after.

How do I enroll using my benefits?

Pick your program and start date and submit the short enrollment form. One of our School Certifying Officials will be in touch to confirm the details, then we register you and certify your enrollment with VA before class starts. Upload your Certificate of Eligibility and any past transcripts with the form, or send them later to hello@nobledesktop.com.

I have partial benefits, 90% or less. Can I still enroll?

Yes. Submit the enrollment form and note your percentage, or call first; one of our School Certifying Officials will go through the balance with you, and set up a payment plan if you need one, before anything is binding.

How does Chapter 31 work here?

Your Veteran Readiness and Employment counselor authorizes the training and submits the authorization, and we bill VA directly. Chapter 31 is a separate authorization from GI Bill eligibility, so start with your counselor. Tell us you are Chapter 31 and we will coordinate from our side.

Can I take two programs at the same time?

Not concurrently. You can complete them one after another. VA will not certify overlapping enrollments, so we sequence them.

Who do I call at VA with benefit questions?

The GI Bill hotline is 888-442-4551, and benefit information is at benefits.va.gov/gibill. For questions about your payments and entitlement, VA is the authority, not us.
